As the blessed month of Ramadan draws to a close, the Islamic Cultural Center invites all members of the community to fulfill the sacred obligation of Zakat Al-Fitr. This noble practice, ordained by the teachings of Islam, serves as a means of purifying one’s wealth and ensuring that the less fortunate can also partake in the joyous festivities of Eid.

Zakat Al-Fitr, often referred to as “Fitrana,” is a mandatory charitable donation given by every Muslim, regardless of age or financial standing, before the Eid prayer. It symbolizes gratitude for the blessings bestowed upon us during Ramadan and acts as a means of purifying our souls from any shortcomings or sins committed during the holy month.
